Provide Emotional Support for Play Therapy Clients Via Telehealth

Resources for Therapist and Parents

Dear CPT Friends,

In response to the many questions from play therapists about how to provide their child clients with emotional support via telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic, our very own Garry Landreth and Sue Bratton in conjunction with APT developed the following videos and materials for working with parents. Links to these resources were originally embedded in the April 7 APT Play Today special issue on COVID-19 and can also be found at https://www.a4pt.org/page/InfoCOVID

For ease of access and for emailing to parents, pdfs of documents are attached below. To download each, follow these steps:
1. Click on the underlined title of the resource you want to download.
2. A new internet window will open to display the resource. If the link will not open a new window on your computer, try accessing through a different browser.
3. On the screen showing the resource, look for the download or save button. You may have to hover your mouse over the document for the icons to appear.
4. Click the button and your computer will prompt you where you would like to save the document.

Please feel free to share these resources For Therapists and For Parents with colleagues, interns, and supervisees.
