Attendance

Q: What happens if I log on late or cannot attend the full webinar?
A: In order to comply with APT guidelines for online trainings and webinars, CPT is required to verify attendance in its entirety. 

Q: How is attendance for contact hours verified?
A: In order to comply with APT guidelines for online training and webinars, your video and sound must be enabled throughout the duration of the training, as you will be asked to engage in discussion and roleplay breakout groups. There may also be times when CPT staff communicates with you via chat, so please be prepared to engage using the chat feature. CPT staff will be monitoring attendance throughout the training and will do our best to assist with any attendance concerns. 

Q: How is attendance for non-contact hours verified? 
A: Your sound must be enabled throughout the duration of the training, as you might be asked to engage in discussion and roleplay breakout groups. Q: What if I am having trouble with internet or Zoom connection?
A: Please contact CPT staff using the chat feature on Zoom or by email at cpt@unt.edu, and we will do our best to assist with technical concerns. Your CE certificate will reflect the accurate amount of time you were present during the online training. 

Q: What if the name I used to register for the online training or webinar is not the same as my Zoom name?
A: CPT verifies attendance based on the name used on the registration form. Please ensure your registration form and Zoom name match. You can change your Zoom name to match the registration form by hovering the mouse over your picture on Zoom, click the three dots in the upper right corner, and select ‘rename’. 
 

Evaluation

Q: Do I have to do the evaluation?
A: Yes, there will be a short online evaluation to be completed after the training in order to receive your CE certificate. Please let us know how we can help improve your webinar experience in the evaluation. 

Q: Where do I access the evaluation?
A: You will receive a link for the evaluation via email following the training and will be asked to complete it in order to receive your CE certificate. You will also find a link for the evaluation in the chat feature at the end the of training and by using the same link as the webinar handouts. 

Q: When is the evaluation due?
A: The evaluation must be completed online by the date given during the training. You can also find the deadline on the email with the evaluation link and on the handout webpage. 
 

Continuing Education - Contact Hours

Q: How do I earn contact hours?
A: If a training qualifies for contact hours, it will be advertised and listed online as counting toward contact hours. Please see the specific webpage for more details. 

Q: Is there anything extra I have to do for contact hours?
A: In order to comply with APT guidelines for contact hours, there will be an online exam covering the material in the training. The exam must be completed following the training. The questions and length are in accordance with APT’s requirements and vary based on the length of the training. 

Q: How do I access the exam for contact hours?
A: You will receive a link via email for this exam following completion of the training and will be asked to complete it in order to receive the Contact CE certificate. The required online evaluation and exam will be sent in the same email. 

Q: When is the exam due?
A: The exam must be completed online by the date given during the training. You can also find the deadline within the email that includes the link for the online exam. The exam and evaluation will have the same deadline. 

Q: What happens if I do not take the exam?
A: If you choose not to complete the exam, you will receive a Non-Contact CE certificate upon completion of the evaluation.   

Q: When will I receive my CE certificate for contact hours?
A: Upon completing the evaluation and exam, you will receive the CE certificate. If you have not received your CE certificate, please contact cpt@unt.edu.
 

Continuing Education - Non-Contact Hours

Q: How do I earn non-contact hours?  
A: If a training qualifies for non-contact hours, it will be advertised and listed online as counting toward non-contact hours. Please see the specific webpage for more details. 

Q: Is there anything extra I have to do for non-contact hours?
A: There is no exam required for non-contact hours. However, attendance, participation, and the completion of the evaluation will be required to receive the CE certificate for non-contact hours.

Q: When will I receive my CE certificate for non-contact hours?
A: Upon completing the evaluation, you will receive the CE certification within 8 business days via email.
 

Zoom Tips

Q: How do I access Zoom and change my settings to get the best experience? 
A: There are tips on your zoom settings that might make your experience better. If you’d like to change your zoom settings during the webinar, please see below or reference this link  http://cpt.unt.edu/zoom-guide for details on how to change your settings.


 

Zoom Chat Feature

Q: How do I access the chat feature?
A: You will find the button to click on the bottom of your zoom screen. 

Q: What is chat used for?
A: If you’d like to ask the speaker or CPT staff a question please type your question into the chat feature, and we will do our best to answer your questions at certain points throughout the webinar. One of our Assistant Directors will be moderating the questions posted in the chat function and will be happy to ask the questions to the speaker during certain times throughout the presentation. Please note that while the speaker will do their best to answer as many questions as possible, they may be limited based on time and may not be able to answer all questions asked throughout the training. CPT staff will also do their best to answer questions directly in the chat feature. 
 

Handouts

Q: How do I access handouts for the training or webinar?
A: Handouts are available to participants on the day of the webinar. If you’d like a copy of the presentation information, please click on the chat box located at the bottom of your zoom page. There you will see a link to access and download a copy of the supplemental materials. 

Q: Can I access the handouts after the training or webinar?
A: Following the training, you will receive an email that includes a link where the handouts and evaluation can be found. This link will only be accessible for a few days, so we recommend you download the handouts to your device.   
 

Confidentiality, Copywriting, and Photos

Q: Can I take screenshots, photos, or recordings of the presentation to use later?
A: The presentation contains confidential and copyrighted information. Therefore, the presenter requests that you do not take any screenshots, photographs, or recordings of the information shown in the presentation. Such an action would be considered an ethical violation.
 

Marketing Photos

Q: Does CPT take photos during the training or webinar? If so, what are they used for? 
A: During the webinar, CPT staff might take photos of the training (not the confidential or copywritten presentation) to share on our social media accounts. 

Q: What if I do not want to be in the photos used for advertising or social media? 
A: If you would NOT like to be included in the photos, please email us at cpt@unt.edu prior to or during the webinar. 
 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Q: Can I cancel my registration and get a refund?
A: Registration is final, and a refund will not be processed. Please refer to the registration page for your specific training for cancellation, refund, and transferring registration deadlines and policies.

Q: Can somebody attend the training or webinar in my place?
A: You may give your registration to another participant. The original registrant must notify CPT of any registration transfers to a new attendee prior to the deadline specified on the registration page for your training.

Q: What happens if CPT cancels the training or webinar? 
A: CPT reserves the right to cancel this training in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If such occurs, CPT will attempt to notify registrants prior to the event and refund all registration, workshop, and continuing education fees. In all instances, the liability of CPT is limited to refunding such fees.
